The events in the Middle East and so-called “Christian” Zionism have to be theologically challenging for many people.
It should be obvious that the actions in Gaza have NOTHING to do with Christ, His Actions, or anything that He ever taught.
It’s the polar opposite.
If you’re a Christian, don’t let bad theology ruin your quest for true theology.
We are meant to be exposed to bad ideas in this life. We’re supposed to see the false in order to recognize the true.
The key is to reject the false (the sooner the better) and to continue to search for the truth.
As a Catholic, I believe that Catholic doctrine and dogma are the truth. Fortunately for me, the events in the Middle East have not been a theological challenge. It has always been as plain as day.
But whichever way a person chooses to go theologically, it’s important not to stop going forward.
Don’t give up on God because of human stupidity.
God is a God of the heart. He knows our hearts and whether or not we are genuinely seeking Him.
If we seek, we WILL find.
