Typhoon Ragasa, the 18th typhoon of 2025, made landfall in Yangjiang city, S China's Guangdong Province, at about 5 p.m. on Wednesday, with maximum wind force near its center reaching 40 meters per second, according to the provincial meteorological observatory. As of 10 p.m. on Tuesday, more than 1.89 million local residents had been relocated across the province.
