i think we need a different unit of galactic distance than the “light year.” it gives a false visual impression of the universe as linear (first of all) even if curved it’s just an incorrect spatial configuration/layout. second of all, i’m pretty sure intergalactic space travel isn’t going to operate temporally in the way this implies. “200 million light years away” or how the caucasian space movies all have them coming back younger than their children etc—i think they are just flat out doing bad math. but i’m not a mathematician or a physicist just intuition or “monarch” understanding operating from my end.
