Iran President States Strikes Targeted U.S. Military Objectives, Not Neighboring Nations

Tehran, Iran – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated that Iran's recent actions were directed at U.S. military targets and did not involve any attacks on friendly neighboring countries.

In a social media post, President Raisi emphasized Iran's consistent commitment to maintaining friendly relations with regional governments based on good neighborliness, mutual respect for sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He also affirmed Iran's inherent right to self-defense against military aggression from the United States and Israel.

\"We will steadfastly defend our nation and resist to the end,\" Raisi declared. He specified that Iran's defensive operations solely targeted the sources and facilities that attacked Iran, which are considered legitimate targets. \"Iran has not attacked friendly neighboring countries. Instead, we have targeted American military bases and facilities in the region,\" he added.
