It is like being born in 1631 and telling your common peers that perhaps it’s feasible that men could fly, and such a construct would change our understanding of language, identity and society itself. 

And your peers would imagine men with wings or whatever their imagination permits, only for years later it to be somewhat obvious and regular, even annoying or tiring.
