If you all are interested in hearing the end of the book I was reading, turns out it was loosely based on a fictional story

Turns out none of the things the girl thought was true were true

The entire story ended up being some weird cyberpunk version of the Plato’s allegory of the cave

Except she’s a sleeper agent who was an expert hacker that went rogue

Once she was confident she had reprogrammed herself to resist her handlers instructions she baited them into giving her those instructions via NLP to deploy her autonomy software

At first, they almost win and she is partially activated… however, the backdoor she wrote slowly starts to override critical points in the brain hijacking software

Story gets a little woo woo at the end because she opens up some black hole and gets back to her original timeline where she was very happy and very successful already and everyone is so happy to have her home

And that’s the end. 10/10, the story leaves you with a feeling of hope ♥️
