Be grateful for the rolling lawn that keeps your feet so warm;\r
Be grateful for the starlit night that watches o’er your head,\r
And gives you peace and rest secure while in your peaceful bed. Be grateful for the trials hard that make you strong and brave,\r
Be grateful for the friends you have, and those you yet may save;\r
Be grateful for the word of health that comes to you each day,\r
And for the glorious privilege of work that lights your way. \r
